BEA is a company known around the world for its advanced sensor solutions. BEA is the world leader in developing sensors for the safety and convenience of the automated world. Founded in Liege, Belgium, in 1965, BEA has been the pioneer in sensing solutions for the automatic entrance market for more than 50 years. It continues to maintain a global presence.
This is a company based on the following core values:
TeamworkInnovationEmpowermentRespectPassionNot only do these core values speak to the company’s high standards for employees, but these values also represent BEA’s deep commitment to their customers and for providing innovative products into the future.
BEA constantly researches, develops, and integrates the latest technologies into its products, creating a wide range of sensing solutions for pedestrian, industrial, transportation, and security applications. Their sensors improve comfort, safety, and accessibility.
The company has found success within the pedestrian market, and rapid technological advancements have fuelled BEA’s growth into new markets. They offer a complete line of access control, safety, and security solutions for industrial-, security-, and transportation-based industries.
Moving into the future, BEA will continue to design and develop solutions for new applications such as vehicles. However, the company has plans to continue its laser technology development.
Their sensors send an intense light impulse in a defined direction and measure the time until the signal returns. As the speed of light is a constant value, the time is directly proportional to the distance between the sensor and the first object the light impulse touches.
By sending multiple beams in multiple directions (2D or 3D), the sensors have the ability to know the exact position of any object in its detection area at any given moment. By analysing the information over a short period of time, it is possible to determine the shape, speed, and direction of any object.
Rolling Center BEA Product Line
At Rolling Center, our BEA product line focuses on the company’s safety lasers, including the following:
In 2009, the company launched laser technology that was used for automatic barriers, gates, and doors.
Opening & Safety Sensor for Barriers
The LZR-H100 offers a real alternative to induction loops: time gain during installation, detection of all types of vehicles, and greater adaptability. This laser sensor for rising barriers is used to open, secure, and/or detect a presence. It offers great flexibility in defining the width and depth of the detection zones (max detection field is 9.9m x 9.9m).
Safety Sensor for Industrial Doors
The LZR-I100 / I110 works according to the principle of time of flight. This high-precision technology and the dynamic orientation of the laser beams on four planes offers optimal safety in the door threshold and its proximity. The sensor is adapted to industrial environments and has a max. detection range of 9.9m x 9.9m.
We also offer the following BEA products:
