The Videx 2815 converts a Wiegand connection into an RS485 connection, that can be connected to Videx IPure and GSM intercom systems. Its ideal for situations where third-party proximity readers, coded access keypads, and combined keypad and proximity readers need to be integrated with Videx systems.

If a building already has multiple or other entrances that have existing proximity readers, it would be advantageous to use the same fobs across all additional entrances secured by Videx intercom products. Rather than an occupant needing more than one access fob.
The 2815 can be programmed to work with Wiegand 26bit or 34bit proximity readers and keypads and also 4bit, 6bit or 8bit Wiegand keypads. The 2815 also includes a push to exit input and a switched 0V programmable timed output which can be connected to a 12Vdc relay for connecting to locks and gates. Alternatively, the 2815 can also be linked with a 2813 remote relay for higher security applications. The 2815 is supplied in a compact ABS plastic box with easy accessible connection terminals and dip switches for programming. It is powered from 12Vdc and can also control the readers status LED’s.
